International activities

We have often organised meetings with European and international guests at the Businesswomen’s Conventions which have been being held since 1996 – so that participants can look outside the box and be inspired. Since 2009 we offer workshops developing strategies with Women Entrepreneur Associations.

 

Exchange Programme for Women Entrepreneurs from Central Asia

February 2012: Businesswomen from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tadzhikistan exchanged experiences with German women entrepreneurs and their networks in Northrhine-Westphalia. They got insight into projects like mentoring, magazine existenzielle and workshop for starters. Client: GIZ – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit.

 

 

CHANCE: Chamber and Advisory Network and Cooperation for Women Entrepreneurs

October 2011: Workshop with 25 Women Entrepreneurs from Africa and Asia in Bochum, Germany: “Building up sustainable connections between Business Women’s Associations of different countries”. Dinner and exchange with the German Association of Women Entrepreneurs, VdU. Client: GIZ – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit.

OSCE-Conference 2011: Women's Entrepreneurship in the OSCE Region - Trends and Good Practices

March 2011: Lecture about "Advancing women's economic growth - the role of business women's associations" and moderation of a break-out session "Strengthening the role of national women's entrepreneurs associations". 97 Experts from 26 countries across the OSCE Region analysed the situation and developed recommendations for economic growth through women's entrepreneurship.

International Businesswomen Forum 2010

November 2010: Workshop „TWITTER, FACEBOOK and Co.: Modern IT-Means in Web 2.0 for Businesswomen Associations” during the conference “First International Businesswomen Forum” in Berlin, a cooperation of VdU, Association of German Women Business Owners and Global Project Partners, supported by BMZ, sequa, gtz und InWEnt.

MONTENEGRO & SERBIA

June 2010: 16 Businesswomen from Montenegro and Serbia were brought in contact with german networks and institutions empowering women entrepreneurs. During a workshop they developed ideas to strengthen their associations. Client: German Agency for Technical Cooperation.

April 2010: Concept and moderation of the international Strategy-Workshop at the North Rhine-Westphalian Businesswomen’s Convention 2010. Participants: 30 activists from Women Entrepreneur Associations in South Asia, Southern Africa and Germany. Main questions: How can Business Women Associations initiate changes in society? How can growth of women's businesses be supported by the associations?

As part of the activities of the EU-India Network of Women Entrepreneurs, InWent – Capacity Building International put us into contact with India’s ALEAP association at the tenth Businesswomen’s Convention in 2006 and enabled us to attend the International Symposium of Women Entrepreneurs on Sustainability & Competitiveness in Hyderabad, India, from 31 August to 2 September 2007.

Über die GTZ – Gesellschaft für technische Zusammenarbeit entstand die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Projekt „GTZ GENRE.“ und dem marokkanischen Unternehmerinnenverband AFEM 2005.The GTZ (“Gesellschaft für technische Zusammenarbeit”) arranged for us to start working with the “GTZ GENRE” project and the Moroccan businesswomen’s association, AFEM, in 2005.
